Regolith 1.5.2 - Loadouts & Layouts bugfixes

This is a quick patch to address some of the issues found in the 1.5.0/1.5.1 releases.

  • BUGFIX: Dashboard stats not showing correct values: Last month's BigInt upgrades are still causing some problems but slowly we are finding them all.
  • BUGFIX: Golem Laser Reset: Fixed an issue in the loadout calculator where selecting "none" for a module/gadget would incorrectly change the Golem's laser head back to a Prospector laser.
  • Performance Optimization: Disabled the "VHS" background effect to improve site performance and reduce jank.
  • Better Rounding: Improved precision and rounding in ore percentage calculations to prevent values from exceeding 100%.
  • BUGFIX: Prevent doubling up of ores which creates shadow ores and skews the total in a way the user can't fix.
  • Discord Auth Fix: Resolved a bug with local storage persistence for Discord authentication.
  • Gravity Well Hierarchy: Fixed a bug where some gravity well and location options were not appearing correctly in the dropdowns.
  • General Cleanup: Fixed various background display issues and minor spelling errors.
  • General Server Performance: Added a server-side improvement to reduce overall API calls.

4.5.1 Hotfix for December 25 release

  • Many improvements to OCR capture for both work orders and scouting finds.
  • Moved the new client OCR to a web worker to improve performance and reduce jank on the main thread.
  • Added a submission workflow for users to submit bad OCR captures for improvement.

OCR in the browser and SC 4.5

This is kind of a massive release for regolith under the hood. A new OCR engine and lots of major changes and I expect there will still be some bugs to work out so please be patient with us while we find and squash them.

  • OCR now works in-browser without making a server requestand has been upgraded to support some of the new UI layouts from vehicles in 4.5.
  • BUG FIX: Problem with work orders > 2 billion aUEC causing errors. Upgraded the entire system to use a bigger type of integer.
  • Refinery bonuses now pull from UEX and method bonuses have been updated to fit the new nerfs in 4.5.
  • Performance improvements across the board.
  • Removing a couple of calculators almost nobody was using that have now been replaced by much better ones at UEX Corp.
  • Upgraded to ES2020: Upgrading the entire codebase to ES2020 to support BigInt natively. This should help with large numbers in work orders and crew shares.

You may also notice a lot fo the artwork has been removed from the site. I've made the decision to remove all AI-generated graphics from the site, mainly for ethical reasons. If anyone is interested in the "why" of it all I wrote a blog post about it here.

1.4.4 - Nyx

This is just a quick patch to add the Nyx system and associated resource

  • New Epoch: New system means a new set of distributions so the glorious new epoch of 4.4 is upon us! Everybody warm up your scanners.
  • New Ores! Savrilium, Lindinium, and Torite have been added!
  • New refineries: Levski and Nyx-Stanton Gateway

1.4.3 - Discord Permissions fix

Lots of folks were having issues with the discord permissions and org membership stuff. This was mainly because of how differently each Discord guild is managed and set up, which made it difficult to find common permissions that we could use as "enough" to grant access. The Discord permissions needed to set allegiance to the Survey Corps have been relaxed and we've switched from an "AND" policy to an "OR" policy to try and catch more cases.

This should unlock a lot of users but please get in touch if you still see "missing permissions" and don't understand why.

1.4.2 - Golem Added

  • The Golem has finally been added to the loadout calculator.
  • The ore summary on the session summary screen has been updated to round correctly.
  • Some users were having issues with their survey scores not updating correctly. This has been fixed.

1.4.1 - Maintenance release

This is a small release with a few important bug fixes.

  • FIXED: Survey Calculator script has been rebuilt to use nearly a quarter of the RAM it was using before. Furthermore the RAM usage should remain stable even with large numbers of scans.
  • FIXED: Summary tab was not reimbursing claimants under certain circumstances.
  • FIXED: Chart tooltips are now showing again
  • FIXED: Work orders on the Dashboard tab can now be closed even when the page is loading.
  • FIXED: Overcharge rate now showing the correct color for its statistics.
  • FIXED: Ice found in Stanton now shows up as an error.

1.4.0 - UI Framework Upgrade and Google Analytics

There's still work to do for the 4.2 update and this is not that. Before we get to the good stuff we needed a major update to the UI framework and the underlying version of the code engine. While it (hopefully) shouldn't look too different under the hood it's a massive upgrade! Big thanks to the testers for helping me find bugs.

One of the big additions is adding Google Analytics. This project has grown to the point where we need to know how much traffic we're getting so we can provision resources and plan for the future. Participation is totally optional.

  • NEW: Ore summary on the session summary screen.
  • REMOVED: Bug reporting feature. Bug reports were not being received properly so we're going to rely on discord for all bug reports going forward.
  • FIXED: Returned the "Fail Work order" functionlity.

1.3.10 - Patches, Fixes and new locations

This is just a small incremental patch to fix some bugs and a 86 new mining locations for Star Citizen 4.1.1

  • FIXED: Added a warning for missing discord guild names
  • FIXED: a problem with the statistics calculator
  • FIXED: The system chooser now renders with more depth
  • FIXED: Deselect system is now working properly
  • FIXED: a problem with the refinery selection
  • FIXED: an issue with the OCR where exisiting clusters won't show the latest rock after a scan

1.3.9 - Work Order Form Overhail and 4.1.1 Support

Work Orders

In order to support 4.1.1 the work order calculator has had a significant renovation.

  • Expenses can now have "claimants" to support the new multi-crew features in 4.1.1. This means every expense can be reimbursed to a different user as long as they are listed in the crew-shares of that work order. Example: the person who repairs the ship is not the person who refines the ore who is not the person who sells it.
  • Removed the left panel. It was wasted space and the controls on it look better when they're integrated into the rest of the form.
  • Reworked the UEX best price area to be tighter and more friendly.
  • The "Default Activity Type" setting behaviour has been changed so changes the default activity type for the buttons on the session page and then you can additionally choose to lock it down as well to prevent work orders and scouting finds with a different type from being created.

Bug Fixes

  • Completion date for refined jobs was wronglyu showing the work order creation date instead of the completion date.
  • Vehicle orders SCU sums were 10x too big on the work order table.
  • Survey Corps Tables: On the ROC/FPS table the "Clusters Scanned" value was showing the wrong number.
